Checking in

It doesn't seem like there's too much exciting stuff to blog about in January - the holidays are over, it's been cold out, I haven't taken many pictures lately, it's just kind of a quiet time.

I have one amusing picture from my phone. We had Charlie, Ellie, and Blake over at YaYa's house while we were finishing up the last of her pergo floors. Christine and I (the mommies) were cleaning in the back room, and YaYa had all 3 kids out in the front of the house. We were gone for about 15 minutes, and in that time YaYa gave the kids a can of shaving cream and let them go wild with it all over the back sliding glass door...and all over eachother! What a mess, but the kids LOVED it. We had to plop them all 3 into the bathtub afterwards.

"Oh my gracious!"

The new pic up top is from Shawn's camera phone. I love, love, love it. It absolutely captures Charlie. Shawn snapped it while Charlie was sitting atop a huge stack of Pergo flooring at YaYa's (Shawn's mom's) house. Charlie had just tried to pick up some of the wood, and said, "Oh my gracious! This is heavy." Where does he come up with this stuff?

If you're wondering why I haven't blogged much lately, there's a good reason. I joined a gym! :) So, I've been spending a lot of healthy time there, working off all the holiday goodies* we pigged out on over the past month.

* Namely, those 400 peanut butter balls we made to bring to all those holiday parties that got canceled because of the snow and ice... Hey, somebody had to eat 'em - they were crowding our fridge!
